Most Hollywood moms start stressing about losing their baby weight even before leaving the delivery room. But Kourtney Kardashian isn’t like most women. Instead of clocking hours at the gym to shed the 40 pounds she put on during her pregnancy, Kourt has been singularly focusing on her 7-week-old bundle of joy, son Mason Dash. “It’s been hard to find time to work out,” she told Life & Style during an exclusive interview on Jan. 29. “All I want to do is spend time with Mason.”

Kourtney decided to open up to Life & Style about her struggle to slim down after a tabloid magazine used heavyhanded photoshopping to make it appear as if she’d regained her svelte pre-pregnancy figure just one month after giving birth. “Losing the weight has been a lot harder than I thought,” she says. “I’ve lost 25 pounds so far. I still have 15 more to go.”

And Kourtney is happy to keep it real. “Since having him, I don’t care as much what I look like,” Kourtney told Life & Style. “I gained weight in my booty, my stomach, my thighs and my arms. Everything got a little bigger for sure. I do want to get back to the way my body was before, but it’s definitely not my biggest concern. I feel fine.” To help loose the inches and get back her killer abs, Kourtney’s using the Belly Bandit (here posing exclusively for Life & Style). Kourtney says, “The Belly Bandit makes my clothes fit better, and nobody even knows I’m wearing it!”

Kourtney’s post-baby weight loss has her mom, Kris Jenner, thinking about her own battle with baby weight back in 1979. “I gained 55 pounds when I had Kourtney,” Kris tells Life & Style. “Afterward, I went to a Pilates class and tried everything I could to lose the weight as quickly as possible. It took me only three months.”

Kourtney Kardashian: “Baby Mason changed my life”

Jan 15, 2010 by

Last January, Kourtney Kardashian was a staple on the social scene. This year, there’s only one guy she’s spending face time with: Mason Dash, the son she and her boyfriend, Scott Disick, welcomed on Dec. 14. “I’m just loving all the time with him,” Kourtney, 30, tells Life & Style in a new exclusive interview. “I really don’t miss my old life. I can’t imagine life without Mason now.”

Kourtney is the first to admit that her schedule has done a 180 since she’s become a mom. “I used to get up and literally not stop until at least midnight,” Kourtney says. Having ditched her high-paced social life, she’s now happiest playing house. “I really don’t miss my freedom at all — there’s nothing I’d rather do than be home with Mason and Scott,” Kourtney tells Life & Style. “We relax, eat, sleep, play. Our biggest plans now are taking Mason out for a stroll or giving Mason his first bath. It’s amazing how fulfilling those things are for me.”

But Kourtney wasn’t always sure she’d be this content with motherhood. “She was definitely scared before she had Mason, asking, ‘Am I going to be a great mother? Am I going to love this baby as much as I should’” Scott, 26, tells Life & Style. “And that all went out the door.” In fact, her devotion to their child has brought the couple with the rocky past closer than ever. “She’s just ridiculously good with Mason. She’s perfection. It’s made me fall a little bit more in love with her,” Scott says.

SCOTT DISICK DEFENDS HIMSELF: ‘KOURTNEY’S FAMILY KNOWS I’VE CHANGED’

Nov 18, 2009 by

ScottDisick In his first interview, Scott talks to Life & Style about how the baby has changed his life
PLUS his plans for a future with Kourtney

Since news of Kourtney Kardashian’s pregnancy first broke over the summer, the baby’s father, Scott Disick, has remained noticeably silent. Now with just weeks to go until the baby is born, he’s decided to speak out. Making a dramatic surprise appearance at Kourtney’s baby shower, he lovingly sat next to his expectant girlfriend and opened up to Life & Style.

L&S: Are you grateful this happened?
Scott: The pregnancy was a blessing. It’s our time to be together and start sharing a new life.

L&S: How has it changed you?
Scott: I was a bit young when I met Kourtney. Now I know that I’ve grown as a person. I’m much more productive with my time and my life. Kourtney’s family knows I’ve changed. They know I treat her well and that I’m here for her in every way. Now the trust is all there.

L&S: Is marriage a priority?
Scott: Neither one of us wants Kourtney to walk down the aisle while she’s pregnant. We know we’ll be together forever, so getting a legal document isn’t the biggest deal in our life.

Kourtney Kardashian - Expecting Celebrity

Kourtney Kardashian - Expecting Celebrity

Kourtney, Kim and Khloé speak only to LIFE & STYLE about what caused the family’s big fight with Scott, the father of Kourtney’s baby—and how they all finally came together

Standing in her mother’s backyard, surrounded by a sea of blue balloons, blue cake and blue cotton candy, Kourtney Kardashian, looking stunning in a Diane von Furstenberg dress and Movado jewels, greeted guests as they arrived at her glamorous baby shower in LA on Nov. 14. Kourtney spent the afternoon enjoying bite-size burgers and mini pizzas from LA restaurant Chinois and dessert, flown in for the event from New York City’s BCake NY with 84 of her closest female family and friends. And making a surprise appearance was Scott Disick, Kourtney’s boyfriend and the father of the baby, who was greeted like family by the entire Kardashian clan!

But as anyone who follows E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians knows, Scott’s relationship with Kourtney’s family hasn’t always been so chummy. “We’re obsessed with one another,” Kourtney tells Life & Style. “If someone does something wrong to one of us, we’re all down their throats.”

“When Scott came back into our lives, it was like Kourtney was asking us to forgive and forget everything she’d said about him,” Kim explains. “We were really confused. We had to readjust our feelings about him, and sometimes we had a tough time with it.” Scott’s hard-partying behavior did little to ease their concerns. “I think he was just trying to have as much fun as possible before the baby came,” Kim tells Life & Style. “All he wanted to do was hang out with his friends. He needed to realize that Kourtney and the baby had to come first.”

“It was hard,” Kourtney admits. “There was so much negative energy. But this is the father of my baby — I needed everyone to just get over it.” In the end, Kourtney’s pleas for peace didn’t win over her family — Scott did. “He just started trying so much harder,” Khloé tells Life & Style. Case in point: “He put the crib together — no one asked him to,” Khloé says. “He’s not a manual labor kind of guy, but for him to put the crib and changing table together meant so much to Kourtney.” The transformation isn’t lost on Kourtney. The tension “was really intense for a few months,” she says. “But I feel like if that stuff hadn’t happened, things wouldn’t feel as good as they do today.”

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN: I’M NERVOUS ABOUT BEING A GOOD MOM

Nov 4, 2009 by

Talk about a dose of reality! Kourtney Kardashian moved to Miami earlier this year to film a show, Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami, about her and her younger sister as sexy singles in the city. But by the time they made the trek back to LA, Kourtney was carrying a little extra baggage. “It wasn’t something I expected or planned,” Kourtney tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview. “It was just meant to be.”

Now eight months into the pregnancy, Kourtney, 30, is eagerly preparing to welcome a bouncing baby boy with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Scott Disick, 26, in December. “My pregnancy has been wonderful,” she gushes. “I love being pregnant. I’m excited to be a mom — but I’m nervous.” And viewers will get to see her take on the new role — and maybe even get a peek inside the delivery room — during season four of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. What they won’t see, however, is Kourt complaining about her burgeoning belly. “I’m totally excited to gain weight, and I’m embracing it,” she tells Life & Style. “I run around naked all day at home! I like that my body is changing. It’s a beautiful thing.”

And like a good teammate, Scott’s making every effort to redeem himself in the eyes of Kourtney’s family. In the past, she’s accused him of cheating, which he adamantly denies. “Scott and I have been going to different parenting classes,” Kourtney tells Life & Style. “They made me nervous at first, putting all kinds of information into my head, but they’re helpful. They’re a fun thing for Scott and me to do together.” But being a perfect father doesn’t mean Scott will necessarily make Kourtney an honest woman. “I’m 30, but I never was that girl who was like, ‘I need to get married,’” she says. “I never had a plan. Now I have so much to think about for the baby. I’ll worry about myself later.”
