ALI LANDRY: IT TOOK ME TWO YEARS TO TAKE OFF THE BABY WEIGHT

Dec 14, 2009 by

ali_landryAli Landry got her big break as the famously flexible Doritos Girl in 1998. But after she and her husband, welcomed their daughter, Estela, on July 11, 2007, Ali wasn’t feeling so athletic. “I was nursing, I was tired,” she told Life & Style during an exclusive interview on Nov. 18. “I had no desire to go to the gym. For the first two years of her life, Estela was my focus. I didn’t care so much about being in perfect shape.”

So while breast-feeding helped Ali drop 25 of her 35 pregnancy pounds, the Eve actress settled into life with a little more meat on her bones. “I was already back in my regular clothes, but I definitely wasn’t in shape,” says Ali. Her wake-up call came this past summer, when ABC asked her to participate in The Superstars, the network’s sports challenge. “It really lit a fire under me.”

Ali sought the help of Helene Guzman and the trainer’s mom-friendly routines: two one-hour workouts a week. “I do interval training,” Guzman explains to Life & Style. By sticking to Guzman’s mix of stretching, cardio and calisthenics (as well as healthy food from the delivery service Chef’s Diet), Ali soon lost the last 10 pounds of baby weight. Even better? She shed an additional 5, putting her at a toned 134 pounds after two months.
