Bethenny Frankel: Motherhood has Changed my Life

Jul 22, 2010 by

In an exclusive interview, Reality star Bethenny Frankel was always on the go until she met husband Jason Hoppy, and became mom to daughter Bryn, on May 8. “It’s unbelievable. It’s every cliché, everything everyone tells you,” the Bethenny Getting Married? star gushes about motherhood to Life & Style.

Bethenny’s late-night partying has now been substituted for baby-feeding sessions and designer duds for pajamas. “I breast-feed and pump, and I’d say Bryn eats every three to four hours,” Bethenny tells Life & Style about her and Jason’s tag-team schedule. “He’ll do a feeding at 1 a.m., then I’ll do one at 5 a.m. It’s whoever hears it first, and we don’t try to pretend like we don’t hear it,” she says about Jason, whom she calls an amazing and unbelievable father.

Since the arrival of Bryn, the fiery reality star seems to have finally reached her own place of Zen. “People say that I’m a little softer, a little calmer,” she says. “I’m definitely happier.” Her priorities have certainly shifted since the drama-filled days of nasty castmate catfights and posh red carpet soirees. “There are things you have to have, just a whole other world of things,” Bethenny says about her new splurges, such as Bryn’s stroller, car seat, crib and other necessities. “You don’t buy anything for yourself anymore, and you don’t care… You’re so happy that your body’s back, you’ll wear a garbage bag.”

Bethenny Frankel Considers More Babies – And Another Season!

Jul 21, 2010 by

In an exclusive interview with Life & Style Magazine, Bethenny Frankel is in can’t-eat, can’t-sleep, head over heels love — with her beautiful daughter, Bryn, who was born on May 8. But with her biological clock continuing to tick, Bethenny opens up to Life & Style about whether she and husband Jason Hoppy will have the second child he’s always wanted.

“I originally thought we would want one, but Jason really wants another,” Bethenny says about possibly expanding the Hoppy brood. “But I’m just so in love with Bryn right now that I want to focus completely on her,” she says about her daughter, who also answers to nicknames ChicKpea, Booboo and Sunshine Bunny – to name a few. “For me, marriage and kids ended up happening at the same time because of my age, I suppose, and because we were both in the same place and both ready,” Bethenny tells Life & Style, acknowledging that they aren’t “spring chickens.” “I’m not 25, so I don’t have all the options in the world. I have to make a decision somewhat soon.”

One thing Bethenny definitely wants is a second season of her hit Bravo spin-off, Bethenny Getting Married? “It just shows that you don’t have to be psychotic, and there doesn’t have to be drama or slapping people in the face,” the star says of her family-oriented show. But since her and Jason tied the knot on the July 8 episode, Bethenny has a new title suggestion: “Bethenny Turning 40!”
