Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio Pregnant With Second Child

Dec 28, 2011 by

Victoria’s Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is ready to reveal her own secret: She’s pregnant again, her rep confirms to Us Weekly.

The baby-to-be will be the second for Ambrosio and California businessman Jamie Mazur, her longtime fiance, who are already parents to daughter Anja, 3. “Family is the most important thing for me and I’m thrilled to be adding to the family,” Ambrosio tells Us in an exclusive statement. “I’m fortunate to have a loving and supportive family. It’s a blessing that it will soon be growing.”

The Brazilian beauty, 30, told Brazilian magazine Istoe Gente that she is four months along — she surprised her man with the happy news (and a positive pregnancy test!) on his  birthday in September — but does not yet know the gender of their child.

The stunner kept her baby-to-be (and her bump!) under wraps while strutting the catwalk just last month in lingerie for Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show.

Christmas Eve ideas

Dec 16, 2011 by

Christmas is only 9 days away! Have you gotten all of your shopping done yet? Have you been baking like crazy little elves? Have you started wrapping yet? As for me I have a few gifts to get and I am completely done shopping and most of my gifts are wrapped. Whew. So. much. to. do. and so little time.

Here are a few ideas for the kids for Christmas Eve.

1. REINDEER FEED

www.ChristyRobbins.blogspot.com

Make up little bags of oats (oatmeal) and glitter with this cute little poem to give to the kids. The kids sprinkle this outside on Christmas EVE for the reindeer!

“Sprinkle on the lawn at night the moon will make it sparkle bright as Santa’s reindeer fly and roam this will guide them to your home”

2. LAWN TINSELING

Sprinkle the glitter all over the lawn so Santa knows where to stop! It also helps Santa find your house in any kid of weather. Super cute! Full instructions at http://shabbykitteh.blogspot.com/2011/12/lawn-tinselinga-christmas-tradition.html

3. OPENING 1 GIFT

Every year I let the kids open 1 gift Christmas Eve which is usually new PJs. This is a tradition that my mom still does for me and my sisters when we get together.

4. SANTA COOKIES WITH MILK

The day before Christmas bake special cookies (I usually bake gingerbread cookies) and let them decorate them for Santa. Use the same plate (Santa’s special plate) every year! Also, use “Santa’s cup” for milk!

5. A SNACK FOR THE REINDEER

Leave some carrots by Santa’s cookies for Santa to give to the reindeer!

Make holiday cookies healthier

Dec 13, 2011 by

At my house, whenever I bake cookies they never last more than a day. My kids and hubby LOVE cookies…ok me too I must admit.

Cookies are loaded with sugar, butter and white flour and artificial colors and flavors.
Not good for our bodies, but there is no way to keep the cookies in the cookie jar at my house.

Here are some of my tips to make any cookie and holiday cookies healthier!

1. Use whole wheat flour instead of white. not only is it healthier but it has more fiber.

2.Try decorating without food coloring in frosting. Food coloring is an artificial ingredient. Instead try decorating with white frosting or royal icing, melted chocolate, jams and use nuts for decorating.

3.Try adding a little bit of flax seed oil or oats. Even if you blend up with oats they are still in there!

4.. Don’t make HUGE cookies. Tiny ones let you enjoy the cookie without the huge calorie amount. Smaller ones are good for kids too. Just the right amount.

5. Also watch how much butter you use! It is loaded with saturated fats! Cut back on it and maybe substitute half of it with Canola oil.
